Questions & Answers

You're a blog writer. Where is your blog?
This is a new website I've created. A blog is coming soon. As a website designer said, "A website is never really done. You're always updating & changing elements."

Why blog?
Blog posting is a great way to connect with current & potential customers. If they find your blog, they might also look at other pages on your website. It can also help your website rank higher on Google & Bing Search.

Let’s say Google Search is looking at 10 websites in your industry including yours. If you’re the only one consistently posting quality content each week on your website blog, & you’ve optimized your website for search, Google could rank your website above the other 9 competitors. This is what my digital marketing teacher said (he's currently working in the digital marketing field).

You can also repurpose a blog post. You can copy & paste parts of it into your emails, articles, slide presentations, etc.

Can't I just use AI to write blogs?
Meta has started labeling AI-generated content on Facebook & Instagram. LinkedIn is also doing this. People may not care if an image was created with AI since AI images are everywhere. But some people may not read a blog post if it was written by AI.
My two digital marketing teachers said don't use AI to write blogs.

I recently received a marketing email saying the email was “100% written by a human.” This allows a business to stand out if competitors are using AI to write content.

If you want to use AI to write your blog posts, you still need a human to edit & fact-check the text. My AI teacher would give us assignments where we prompted AI to write different kinds of business materials. Then the teacher would tell us to "humanize" the text.

Can I write blogs whenever I have free time & post them all at once?
If you publish many posts at one time, then don’t post for a while, Google & social media platforms might think you’re a bot. Automated systems look for bot behavior, such as rapid posting & irregular activity spikes.

It's best to do regular, consistent posting. I can do a content calendar & schedule your posts.

Why do you need to do keyword research for blog posts?
Keywords help your target customers find your blog & website. They also give insights into what your potential customers are looking for, & this can help you get ideas for your business.

What is your blog writing process?
I first discuss with you the topics you want. It's great if you have materials to show me.
I write the blog posts myself. I type 65 wpm so you're not paying me to type slowly. I use AI as a tool for research, brainstorming, & proofreading. I also use it when a sentence, phrase, or heading could be better.

I send updates. I give each draft to you for review & changes before posting. I use a content calendar & social media app to keep posts & scheduling organized. Remember that after posting, you can still edit it.

If you're already scheduling posts, can you also do some basic social media management?
Yes, I can check into your social media accounts & see what messages you've received. If there's people who have posts you want to read, I can summarize the posts with AI. I can also comment for you so you stay engaged (of course you would review the comments first).

Every business has many post ideas. Here’s some:

— Describe your products or services in detail & make special offers.
Answer customer questions in depth.
Tips & advice related to your services or products.
Discuss current & developing trends in your industry.
Post customer testimonials.
Describe why you started your business & what you enjoy about it.
Your staff might want to write about themselves & what they like about your business.
A day in the life or behind the scenes of your business.
